This year Emily was determined to be Hello Kitty. This is what I found:
You can imagine that I wasn't too excited about spending $30 on this. At the Hello Kitty Store, I asked if there were costumes, and they said that Sanrio doesn't make one. Odd, since they make everything else under the sun. So I googled Hello Kitty Costumes and found ONE picture of a costume someone had made. The outfit wasn't very cute, but she made a giant hello kitty head that gave me an idea of how to make a decent costume.
So after months pondering it, and one day hard labor, this is what Emily looked like going to school last Friday:
I got lucky for Aaron's costume. At the last minute, I went into Children's Orchard and found the perfect costume for $4.00. A cute little bat:
This year, as Halloween landed on a Sunday, we had Trunk or Treat at church. We were a trunk and bought dry ice to put in the back. It didn't really work out very well, and died really quickly, but we had some fun with it in the kitchen sink:
Brian and I went to a party this year. I think the last time we went to a halloween party was before we even were dating. It was fun. Brian agreed to wear an In N Out guy costume, and I went as a fortune teller:
After Trunk or Treat, I got this cute shot of the kids:

Yall take the cake for creative costumes. I haven't dressed up in years. You did an amazing job on hello kitty. That is soooo cute
So fun. Ashlyn's all about Hello Kitty this year too. Except she was a pirate princess. It looks like you guys had a lot of fun. We only did half of a trunk or treat too. It got rained out. :) So Ashlyn and her friends watched How to Train your Dragon at our house. OH and also..."Barbie Fashion Fairy Tale" The hit of the night. :) Hope you are good. You look it! Hugs!
PS...I love her costume. You did a great job! Call me sometime when you get a chance. Just got out of the hospital. I feel like my body is falling apart. lol.
I loved Emily's costume, and Aaron is to die for. That smile is so cute, and he looks adorable!
You are so talented Jen! I remember how you had a box full of Halloween costumes you had designed. Your kids are so lucky!
