Broken Leg
So, while we were hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa at the beach Wednesday night, there was a minor incident. Grandma was walking, carrying Emily next to a sand embankment and she stumbled. Somehow, even though Emily didn't fall or hit the ground, somehow her leg tweaked, and broke. The break is in her femur, just above her knee. She has been such a trooper. After 8 hours on Thursday at the doctors, xrays and emergency room, finally she got her cast on Friday morning. Today she started walking on it, and is becoming quite good at hobbling around.

We love her sparkling pink cast! Very appropriate for a princess!! And Jen - you are a trooper for being by yourself with her for 8 HOURS!!! love you all!
Oh no!! We have had to take Marshall to the emergency room twice in his life so far, but he has not yet broken a body part!! I hope she heals quickyly!! Cute cast!!

My daughter had the same break and the same pink sparkly cast. Someone just pushed her playfully- not even that hard and she fell on carpet and her leg was broken. It was crazy! I guess they call it the "toddler break"- for some reason toddlers can twist their leg just the wrong way and it can break. Good news is she's perfectly fine now. We hope Emily is doing ok and feels better soon!
OUCH....can't even imagine...
